Illinois ACC Governor Elections: Remember to Cast Your Vote by November 16, 2010!

It’s one of the most important member activities in which you’ll ever participate. It’s the Illinois ACC Governor Election to the ACC Board of Governors! You will be receiving information regarding this election very soon from the ACC National Office. Please don’t ignore it because your vote is essential in selecting your representative to the National ACC. In addition, your vote determines who represents you and guides and directs the Chapter activities and initiatives.

The Chapter has three candidates for this election:

  • David Fishman, M.D., F.A.C.C.
  • Darrel Gumm, M.D., F.A.C.C.
  • Marc Shelton, M.D., F.A.C.C.

IL-ACC Now On LinkedIn

The Illinois ACC Chapter now has a professional networking group on LinkedIn and invites you to join the IL-ACC group. You will need to sign up to be a LinkedIn member before you can accept this invitation. This group is a member-only benefit of your membership with IL-ACC. Please use th email address that has been provided to ACC when signing up for LinkedIn as this email has been pre-approved to be accepted when you join the IL-ACC group.

LinkedIn is a social networking site for professionals that connects you to other professionals with the goal of sharing contacts, ideas, opportunities, and more. In the IL-ACC group, you will be able to network with your peers, share information and resources.

2011 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Has Been Released

The Final 2011 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule was released in early November. An overview of the rule, as well as a link to the complete document, is posted on www.cardiosource.org. More detailed information will be added to this page once the ACC regulatory team completes a thorough review.
